We are continually sizing up situations that confront us in life. We assess each situation, deciding whether something is a threat, how we can deal with it and what resources we can use. If we conclude that the required resources needed to effectively deal with a situation are beyond what we have available, we say that that situation is stressful – and we react with a classical stress response. On the other hand, if we decide our available resources and skills are more than enough to deal with a situation, it is not seen as stressful to us. Below are a few points which may help you deal with stress.
Recently, Jotform has successfully completed one millionth widget usage in their forms from its users. Now, what is it that these widgets have been used again and again by Jotform users? Why are they so appealing?
1. Don’t be swayed by big discounts
As a smart shopper, you need to take a step back when you see a too-good-to-believe sale, especially online. Typically, discounts are given on slightly dated products and as a trend-savy shopper, you want the best that money can buy. That’s not to say that you can’t score great deals during discount season, but you may not necessarily be scoring a steal. I feel It’s smarter to opt for 30 per cent off on a product from the latest collection than a 50 per cent off from last season stuff.
2. Check Feedback
Learn to make use of all that feedback on buying from particular sites as not all have good after-sales-service or exchange policies that work. Pore over user reviews, recommendations and suggestions before making a choice of where to buy from. With fashion blogs and websites offering comprehensive inputs, you won’t go wrong with a big purchase.
3. Keep details in hand
Online shopping portals score high on convenience as they allow you to buy things from the privacy of your home or office. Since you have the luxury of shopping anywhere, anytime, make the most of this by ensuring you have all relevant payment information in hand. Saves time and repeated keying of info.
Robert John Downey Jr. is an American actor, producer, and singer, whose career has included critical and popular success in his youth, followed by a period of substance abuse and legal troubles, and a resurgence of commercial success in middle age.
Avengers star Robert Downey Jr has walked out of an interview with Channel 4′s Krishnan Guru-Murthy after being quizzed about his family and previous problems with drugs and alcohol.
The actor, who plays Iron Man in the new film Avengers: Age Of Ultron, seemed puzzled by some of the journalist’s questions and at one point asked Guru-Murthy: “Are we promoting a movie?”
Asked about a New York Times interview where he said you could not go to jail and “come out a liberal”, he told Channel 4: “I could pick that apart for two hours and be no closer to the truth than giving you some half-arsed answer right now.
“I couldn’t even tell you what a liberal is.”
The actor, who spent time in prison and had a very public drug problem, was also asked about his relationship with his father and said:”I’m sorry, I really don’t … what are we doing?” He then walked out.
Earth Day consists of annual events designed to focus political and public attention on environmental concerns. Taking place on April 22, Earth Day gives participants the opportunity to celebrate the Earth while simultaneously considering ways to protect it. Despite its now well-known name, Earth Day began with humble origins.
According to Earth Day founder and former Wisconsin Senator Gaylord Nelson, the original idea for an Earth Day-like event occurred to him in 1962. Dismayed by what he perceived to be a lack of political will to engage environmental issues, he felt it would be necessary to mobilize large segments of the public to put green issues onto politicians’ agendas.
Along with Denis Hayes, a Stanford college graduate who put his career on hold to get involved with Earth Day planning, Nelson believed teach-ins could also be used to draw attention to environmental issues. Nelson and Hayes paved the way for the first Earth Day teach-ins and events in 1970.
The first Earth Day was an overwhelming success. For Nelson, “the goal of Earth Day was to inspire a public demonstration so big it would shake the political establishment out of its lethargy and force the environmental issue onto the national political agenda”.
Ever since, year after year, Earth Day is celebrated all around the world with full enthusiasm by its practitioners. Now the question comes up? How can you celebrate Earth Day with Jotform? Well, the Jotform Theme Store has a particular section just for Earth Day.
